According to an announcement, Professor L S Ganesh has been appointed as the next vice-chancellor of the Institute of Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) University, Hyderabad. Ganesh has held various posts at numerous universities in India and overseas.
Ganesh left his position as a professor at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras’ Department of Management Studies in July 2020. He has worked as a teacher, researcher, and provider of intellectual services for more than three decades.
Prior to becoming an assistant professor at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore, Ganesh worked as an associate fellow at the Educational Planning Unit of the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration in New Delhi. He has worked as a visiting professor at several institutions, including the National Rail and Transportation Institute (NRTI) Vadodara, the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Trichy, the University of Passau in Germany, IIM Bangalore, and IIM Kozhikode.
The professor, who has a strong enthusiasm for study, has produced over 85 research papers in prestigious academic journals that receive numerous citations, gaining him widespread international and domestic recognition.
“National institutions and organisations including the MHRD, AICTE, NBA, ISRO, CII, FICCI, and MMA have used his expertise and skills in some of their projects, programmes, and events, as well as international organisations like the World Bank and UNDP. According to an official statement from the ICFAI Group, “He has led Executive Development and Continuing Education programmes for the most reputable multinational and national-level organisations. He has also delivered keynote addresses, seminars, and lectures to various audiences, including business, industry leaders and professionals, scientists, and schoolchildren.
