This collaboration between ETS and LPU primarily aims to enhance the university’s support for the preparation and evaluation of crucial exams, including TOEFL and GRE, conveniently accessible on LPU’s premises. In addition to this, LPU students will receive support in their TOEFL and GRE preparations through a series of masterclasses led by ETS India instructors. Moreover, ETS India will organize training programs for LPU faculty members, equipping students with the essential skills to excel in these tests, as mentioned in the announcement.

Notably, ETS India has also introduced merit scholarships amounting to Rs 2,50,000 exclusively for LPU students as a part of this collaborative partnership, according to the announcement.

Sachin Jain, Country Manager at ETS India and South, emphasized, “Punjab has long been a beacon for students seeking global education opportunities, with many embarking on journeys to the United States and Canada. Our joint efforts signify a commitment to nurturing the ambitions of LPU’s dynamic student community from across India and other countries.”

In an ongoing effort to expand student access and enhance preparation, LPU states its commitment to integrating TOEFL and GRE learning resources into their Learning Management System (LMS). Additionally, they will explore the feasibility of offering elective credits for GRE and TOEFL within their institutional credit framework, spanning across all academic programs, as stated in the announcement.

Ashok Kumar Mittal, Founder Chancellor of LPU, remarked, “This partnership with ETS perfectly aligns with our vision of providing exceptional avenues for academic growth and success to LPU students. We firmly believe that access to assessments will significantly broaden global education and career opportunities for LPU students.”
