In partnership with Amadeus Labs, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has launched a GATE exam preparation online portal to assist students in getting ready for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) exam through the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL). With the assistance of Amadeus Labs Bengaluru’s CSR programme, the portal, known as the NPTEL GATE Portal, is open to all students without charge. The NPTEL website, gate.nptel.ac.in, hosts the NPTEL-IIT Madras GATE preparation facility for candidates.
GATE is an entrance exam for graduate or doctoral programmes at IITs, the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), and other similar universities in India. Additionally, many public sector organisations (PSUs) choose candidates depending on their GATE scores. The anticipated number of applicants to sit for the GATE exams is 9 to 10 lakh. The GATE online tutoring facility would simplify the applicants’ preparation process, according to a statement from IIT Madras. According to the institute, NPTEL will offer more than 2,400 courses with video solutions, practice exams, and online support in accordance with the GATE syllabus.
IITs and IISc collaborated to create NPTEL, which offers free online certification programmes. At the inauguration event today, August 12, V Kamakoti, the director of IIT Madras, praised NPTEL for creating this GATE online coaching. “GATE examination assesses the core knowledge a candidate has learned during their undergraduate studies. Success in the GATE exam opens up opportunities for higher education and jobs. By giving everyone an equal opportunity to take the GATE exam, NPTEL is using its information to help applicants prepare and level the playing field.
