A national colloquium on “Women in Science and Technology: Fostering Innovation” is being organised by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) and the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN). On September 29 and 30, 2022, the national conclave will be placed at IIT Gandhinagar. Women in the sector will facilitate various discussions in the field. The colloquium will bring together some of India’s most illustrious intellectuals for a two-day gathering on September 29 and 30, 2022.
According to a press release from IIT Gandhinagar, “Women in Science and Technology: Fostering Innovation” aims to “encourage women working in science, technology, and engineering fields to translate their innovative ideas into technology, instil the spirit of entrepreneurship in the participants, and facilitate discussions about translational research and its challenges.”
Women in STEM
At this gathering to honour women in STEM, more than 150 female scientists, engineers, postdoctoral fellows, and researchers will take part. All of the invited participants have received grants and fellowships from the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) in the past and are currently engaged in a variety of initiatives.
Women in Leadership, Women in Industry and Technology Innovation, Challenges for Women in Industrial/Translational Research, and Start-up Opportunities for Women Researchers are just a few of the technical sessions that will be covered at the conclave. Numerous top academic and industrial experts will share their knowledge and experiences on a wide range of issues with the participants. For the children of the women scientists and engineers attending the event, IIT Gandhinagar has set up a daycare centre. They will be able to attend the event thanks to this initiative without worrying about their children.
