In order to start offering courses relating to cinema and television in the union territory, the University of Ladakh and the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), in Pune, signed a contract on Friday, according to officials.
According to them, the agreement’s primary goal is to create courses covering many facets of film and television productions and to offer a platform for learning. Deskyong Namgyal, dean of academic affairs at UOL, and Hashmi, registrar at FTII, signed the contract with SK Mehta, vice chancellor of Ladakh University.
A student union has accused the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) of failing to fill the seats designated for OBC, SC, and ST categories when admitting students for the academic year 2021. The association’s members protested at the nation’s top film and television training facility, FTII Pune, for making a “gross mockery of reservation.”
