The Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Internship Programme at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is designed to help students get professional experience and improve their employability. There are 100 opportunities available for the one-year internship in five different businesses. A monthly stipend of Rs 20,000 would be given to selected students. Students who meet the requirements may submit an application for the internship at bhu.ac.in.
Students will be enrolled in master’s degree programmes in BEd, MCA, visual arts, performing arts, physical education, library science, and education. In the future, the University will expand the scope of the internship programme.
Eligibility Criteria
All degree-holding students from any field are welcome to apply for the internship. Those who have won gold, silver, or bronze medals in the five disciplines mentioned above in national or international competitions are also eligible to apply. Additionally, the university has provided subject-specific eligibility requirements: A master’s degree in library science or computer applications is required of the applicant.
Education: BEd or MEd Physical Education: The applicant must have a master’s degree in physical education or a degree in any subject with a medal for regional, national, or worldwide competitions. Visual and performing arts candidates must also hold a master’s degree in visual or performing arts or have placed first or second in a national or international competition.
Selection Process
A screening committee at the discipline level will choose the candidates. The vice chancellor of BHU will establish a university-level committee to interview the selected individuals and provide recommendations. Selected candidates may participate in the Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Internship to complete an internship with the BHU system. Jobs will be assigned to the chosen individuals based on their qualifications and the opportunities that are now accessible. The Sponsored Research Industrial Consultancy Cell (SRICC) of BHU oversees the internship programme. “New possibilities must be established for students to obtain practical and professional experience, which eventually helps them to excel in their life and career,” stated Sudhir Kumar Jain, vice chancellor of BHU.
