On Wednesday, the state government informed the High Court of Karnataka that a committee made up of senior state officials had convened in accordance with its directives to discuss strategies for bringing children who were excluded from the Anganwadi and educational systems into classrooms and shelters. Although the court has received information about the meeting’s proceedings, a report has been requested for two weeks. Senior attorney K N Phaneendra is serving as an amicus curiae in a public interest litigation suit filed by the High Court on its own.
